Very nice Vienna-inspired Coffee house. The service is excellent. The hot chocolate and Apfelstrudel are to die for. Highly recommended and certainly not expected in the heart of Berlin-touristic sights.

Racism is alive and well here at this Einstein cafe..
I arrived at this cafe to meet a good friend and business associate and found that the inside of the cafe was crowded and offered no seating for us and since i arrived early i waited outside at a table to wait for my friend and wait for some tables to open up inside. As soon as i walked back in to look for a good table I was asked if i could be helped?I hadn't asked for anything and it was clear this man was trying to intimidate me thinking I shouldn't be there..He was wrong and i asked him why he was asking me what i wanted when i had just come back inside. He then came from around the corner and got nose to nose with me stating that he"owned the place"and that id been sitting outside at a table for 15min minutes meaning that he had been observing me and hadn't asked me once if i wanted anything while i had sat outside-at one of there tables and there where no less than 5 employees working at the time...
This "owner"was of color"Tunisian"and I am an African American man so be sure racism shows itself in many ways regardless of color and if you think this narrow minded, racist abusive man of color profiling and confronting another man of color just for waiting for a friend to have a coffee is unusual it is not but is important to call this racist out and let others know what there money gies to support..
Also to paint the picture i am wearing a suit and tie an college educated and have worked in over 75 countries for my profession and my friend who came to meet me is white and how the cafe owners face changed to that of realizing he'd bullied one person of color to many. This owner is the reason the world is in the sorry state its in as far as race relations and I'm thankful to not have spent one Euro at this racist location..
My friend and i went down the street and we are thrilled to spend our money elsewhere.. -

Down in the touristy part of Berlin this coffee shop had just okay coffee. They did have free wifi though, which was nice. The prices were a bit much, but I guess everything in the area was priced for tourist. I noticed this is a chain throughout Berlin, as there were others around the city as well.

Hands-down the best coffee I've had anywhere in Germany. I've had coffee at three of their locations in Berlin and have not had a bad coffee yet. Barista's are extremely professional...
